Challenge
In 2021, ECMC opened their long-awaited, new emergency facility to better serve those in need in the Buffalo community. The hospital wanted to use this opportunity to shift the public’s perception of them as solely a trauma facility and promote the fact that they are much more than just emergency services, specifically highlighting their 24-7 orthopedics and fracture care services.

Execution
In order to make the public aware of all that ECMC has to offer the WNY community and beyond, I worked with a small team to launch a large public-facing campaign. Through the use of patient testimonials, we executed a television spot, outdoor and print advertising, social media, and radio. The campaign not only helped build community awareness of the new Emergency Department but was also able to highlight the safety of visiting ECMC for both emergent and elective needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
